Guide to New Residential Service
Delmarva Power provides new residential service to customers building new homes in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. Due to tariff differences, each state has a unique set of guidelines for establishing electric service. Please use the Guide to New Residential Service for the state in which your new residence is being constructed in order to assist us in providing this service in an efficient and timely manner.
These guidelines supplement but do not replace the regulations of State, County, or Municipal authorities having jurisdiction, the National Electrical Code (NEC), or the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
The residential service guides do not address all possible installation issues. We encourage you to contact Delmarva Power about any particular issues you may have.
