WILL YOU ANSWER THE CALL AND HELP YOUR COMMUNITY? Every day in cities, towns and rural communities throughout our region, volunteers respond to emergency calls for firefighters, ambulance drivers, emergency medical technicians and disaster relief personnel. These dedicated men and women are our first line of defense in natural and man-made disasters. The problem is numbers. The number of volunteers has not kept up with the growth in population and the subsequent need for more emergency personnel.
To help recruit new volunteers a toll-free number 1-800-FIRE LINE has been established to match those interested in serving their community with their closest emergency service organization. If you're interested in helping your community, please make the call.
